On Sunday 24 April, the first flight to Sunweb Group's newest destination departed from Schiphol. As well as our first customers eager to discover 'Europe's Hawaii', there was a number of Dutch journalists on board who will bring this destination into the spotlight in the next few months. 

At Ponta Delgada – João Paulo II Airport on the main island of São Miguel, we were welcomed by our partners, MTS and the Portugal and Azores Tourism Board. This is an important new destination for the Sunweb Group. It positions us more broadly and also serves those customers who – in addition to sun, sea and sand – are looking for peace and quiet, space and lots of activities in nature.
